While lower karat gold leaves as well as imitation gold leaves may look similar at first glance compared to 24 karat gold leaves, there are notable differences. First, genuine gold leaf that is 24 karats will not tarnish, lower karats or imitation gold leaf, on the other hand, does tarnish if it is not sealed. Pure gold does not oxidize and a chemical reaction rarely occurs when it comes into contact with sulfur compounds in the air. This means that no brownish, greenish or black deposits form, unlike in lower karat gold leaves or gold leaf imitations. The lower the fine gold content, the more likely oxidation is.
Many artists claim to work with 24 karat gold but then seal their paintings with a varnish or a coat, making it impossible to test the authenticity of the artwork.
To prove the gold authenticity of my artworks I'm not sealing my paintings with a varnish or a coat except a customer specially requests it
I'm solely working with genuine 24 karat gold leaves. It is 99.9% pure gold and offers the most brilliant appearance. While the costs of artworks including pure 24 karat gold will be higher, the long-lasting, durable and incomparable brilliance of genuine gold leaf definitely makes it a worthwhile investment that can last for centuries.
My acrylic paintings enhanced with 24 karat gold offer a luxurious and striking visual appeal. I'm incorporating only genuine 24 karat gold leafs into the acrylic medium, creating a shimmering effect that adds depth and sophistication. This combination not only enhances my artworks aesthetic but also elevates its value, as gold highlights can bring a sense of opulence and elegance. The gold elements are meticulously applied, often accentuating specific details or creating bold contrasts against the acrylic background. This technique requires skillful handling to ensure the gold adheres properly and retains its luster. The result is a stunning piece that catches light beautifully and offering a unique and captivating focal point for any viewer.
